Kirstie, this is gorgeous! I love the freedom of your illustrations. May I ask you what your process is and what digital program you use to colour? As you would know from my own work, I'm a painter, but I'm starting to explore the possibility of photoshop to colour my work :)
Thanks Andrew! and thanks Kaili! Of course - I'm happy to share :). Firstly, I tend to sketch on paper and scan the drawings in (sometimes I draw directly into the computer but at the moment that's quite rare)! Then I use corel painter and a wacom tablet, building the painting up from block colours, adding detail with crayons, and then shading. Photoshop is just as good if not better for this. It takes a bit of practice to get used to the interface but I'm sure you'll be brilliant! :)
wow !! Wonderful work!!! I really enjoyed your art and will be visiting again for sure!!! this one I love.. a couple of days ago I took my dog for a walk and it rained on us ..an hour later after we went home it snowed!!!!! in October!
Oh how I love this! The colors are fantastic, and so is her expression. But the little doggie in his raincoat just pushed it over the edge into a whole new level of awesomeness!
