Monster-y hello's
Long time, no post.... ! (sad face). I hope everyone's well. I've been so busy 'squirrelling away' on my next project, that time has been flying past at close to the speed of light, it feels. I'm having so much fun though, and look forward to lots more news and pretty pictures soon. I have plenty of things I'm saving up to share.
In the meantime, check out this monster-themed collection of children's books, picked out by the team at the New York Times' Sunday Book Review! I'm very happy to say that little Onster made the list: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2012/10/12/books/review/12monsters-ss-7.html

'The Monster Who Lost His Mean' Book Trailer!
We have a book trailer ... parp parpity parp parp (that's my best trumpet noise!) ... hurrah! My very talented sister, Michaela Edmunds, and her award-winning buddy, Tom Lucas have made this fantastic little animated trailer for 'The Monster Who Lost His Mean,' bringing to life some of the Onster's most monster-y friends. Check it out below, or better still, follow the link HERE to enjoy it big. ... Yay!

'The Monster Who Lost His Mean.' Out 17 July!
My second picture book, 'The Monster Who Lost His Mean' is officially out next week - hurrah! Written by the wonderful Tiffany Strelitz-Haber, and published by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers, it's the tale of the 'Onster': the monster who loses his 'M' (for mean!), but finds that it's not what you are, but who you are that matters most. It's available to pre- order now (official release July 17, 2012), and you can snap up a copy from Indiebound, Barnes and Noble or Amazon (US) / (UK). Check out some more sneak peeks HERE!

So You Want To Be A Rock Star?
I'm really pleased to say that our first little book is finally on it's way! Written by the wonderfully witty Audrey Vernick, and published by Walker Books for Young Readers, this book goes out to all the budding little Rock Star's out there (and all us big ones!). It's out later this month in nice shiny hardcover, and already available to pre-order via Amazon, Barnes&Noble and IndieBound in the US, and in the UK via Amazon, or The Book Depository. I'm so excited... Check out the latest reviews, or pick it up here!

Time for a Picnic!
I'm super excited to announce that the long-awaited Picnic book from Promopress is here! The exceptionally talented duo Retina & Retinette (aka Júlia Solans & Juan Cardosa) have put together a stunning selection of contemporary illustration (including some pages from Pencil Pocket- yipee!). It's such a beautiful book, and such an honour to be included. I can thoroughly recommend curling up with a big mug of tea to enjoy the finished article - it's delightful from start to finish!
If you'd like to have one too, you can find it here!

Hello friends!
Hi everyone, and a super happy new years to you all. I'm SO touched to see so many old friends, new friends and talented faces following … It's been such a busy few months, so I've been practically invisible in blogland, and the real world alike. Who knew how intense bookmaking would be! I've been very blessed though. After a very steep learning curve(!), there's now 2 wonderful children's books in the pipeline and I've been lucky enough to work with some seriously talented authors and publishers, alongside my super-agent Teresa. I can't wait to share it all with you (keeping the art quiet is SUPER tough. I'm terrible at secrets!). Keep checking back for news! I'm going to try and get myself into a more regular doodle routine for the blog and twitter, and as soon as I can release any exciting sneek peeks, be sure that I will do!! Hope you're well!! Thanks for following, and lots of love x k
